International, Bilingual School & Kindergarten Design and Build

TECO designs, fits out and renovates international schools, bilingual schools and kindergartens. Projects include the Horizon International Bilingual School system (3 campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and the Tay Ho campus in Hanoi), the International German School (IGS), the 1,700 m² Emasi Plus Waterpoint International Bilingual Library and Star Kids Preschool.

One contractor for design, joinery, MEP, fire protection, fire safety acceptance and the signage permit. The construction schedule is planned around the school year so the school opens on time.

TECO’s capability in education projects

  • International school experience: Horizon (4 campuses), IGS, Emasi Plus, Star Kids – working with foreign owners and operators.
  • In-house joinery: our 1,300 m² workshop makes desks, chairs, lockers, library shelving, partitions and doors to the design dimensions.
  • Fire protection in the same package: TECO prepares the fire protection dossier, installs the system and completes fire safety acceptance.
  • After-hours, weekend and holiday work to finish before term starts without disturbing students.
  • Class II Construction Capability Certificate No. HCM-00062710 for design and construction of civil and industrial works.
  • After handover: scheduled maintenance of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and fire protection systems through TECO MSC.

  1. Survey – curriculum requirements, student numbers, existing building condition
  2. Space planning – classrooms, specialist rooms, library, escape routes
  3. 3D design and technical drawings – materials, construction drawings, fire protection dossier
  4. Quotation and contract – itemised quantities, schedule tied to school-year milestones
  5. Construction – joinery made in the workshop in parallel with site works
  6. Acceptance and handover – fire safety acceptance, handover, maintenance

Frequently asked questions

Does TECO handle the fire protection dossier and fire safety acceptance for schools?

Yes. TECO prepares the fire protection dossier, installs the system and completes fire safety acceptance with the authorities.

Can an operating school be renovated?

Yes. TECO works zone by zone, scheduled around holidays and outside class hours so students are not affected.

What drives the cost?

Scale, existing condition, number of rooms, finishes, MEP and fire protection systems. TECO surveys the site and sends an itemised quotation.

Is school furniture made to size?

Yes. Desks, chairs, lockers and library shelving are made in the TECO joinery workshop to the drawings, suited to each age group and room layout.

Does TECO apply for the signage permit?

Yes. TECO prepares the signage permit application together with the sign works.
